Yamazaki – Peated Malt 2022 Edition Japanese Single Malt Whisky (75cl)

Yamazaki Peated Malt is the 2022 edition in the distillery's Rare Cask series, a Japanese single malt from Shimamoto in Osaka Prefecture, in a 750ml bottle. It is matured in casks that previously held peated malt spirit, which adds smoke and peat to Yamazaki's soft, fruity distillate. Tasting notes describe smoke and peat running through fruit and vanilla on the nose. The palate brings smoke and dried fruit, and the finish is long, with lingering smoke and warmth.
