Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2024 Edition is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, in a 700ml bottle at 43% ABV. It is the first release in the Story of the Distillery presentation, which looks at the landscape and craftsmanship of the Yamazaki distillery.
Suntory composes it from a range of Yamazaki malt whiskies, including components matured in Japanese Mizunara oak and Spanish oak. The year identifies this edition and its packaging.
The nose is dried persimmon sweetness with clove. The palate is rich and layered, with orange marmalade and sweet adzuki bean, leading to a long, smoky and spicy finish.
