Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2025 Edition is a Japanese single malt from Suntory, in a 700ml bottle at 43% ABV. The annual design shows the historic distillery kiln, reflecting the landscape and craftsmanship of the distillery. The year marks the edition rather than an age.
It is composed from a variety of Yamazaki malt whiskies, including components matured in Japanese Mizunara oak and Spanish oak.
The nose offers dried-persimmon sweetness with clove. On the rich, layered palate come orange marmalade and sweet adzuki bean, leading to a long, smoky and spicy finish.
