This is a Suntory Very Rare Old blended Japanese whisky, specially labelled to commemorate the Sapporo '72 Winter Olympic Games. It comes in a 76cl bottle at 43%. Bottles of this kind would have been made with malt and grain distilled at Yamazaki. Suntory was established by Shinjirō Torii in 1899 as a wine store in Osaka, and it built its first distillery, Yamazaki, three years after the company was renamed Kotobukiya in 1921.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
