Yellow Spot is an Irish single pot still whiskey from Midleton, aged for 12 years in bourbon, sherry and Malaga casks. Its name comes from the Mitchell family's habit of marking casks with a coloured spot to show their age.
It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, with a deep amber appearance.
The nose offers vanilla and ripe fruit. On the palate there is honey and malt with fine spice and a hint of oak, and the texture is soft. The finish is long, warm and spicy.
