Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is an Irish single pot still whiskey from the Spot family, bottled at 46% ABV. It is made from malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills.
All of the whiskey is aged for 12 years in three kinds of cask: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Spanish Málaga wine casks.
The nose has ripe peach, apricot and golden apple with honey, vanilla and baking spice. The palate brings peach compote, honeycomb, marmalade and toffee, with white pepper, clove and nutmeg. The finish is long and warm, with honey, soft oak and dried fruit.
