Yellow Spot 12 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 46%)

Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Spot range of Mitchell & Son, bottled at 46% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled three times from malted and unmalted barley and is not chill-filtered. The twelve years of maturation are spent in three types of cask: American bourbon casks, Spanish sherry butts and Malaga sweet wine casks. The Malaga casks are credited with notes of honey, peach and dried fruit. In the glass it is typically described as honey, red apple, toasted oak and a touch of milk chocolate, with a long, spicy and pleasantly dry finish.
