Yellow Spot is a 12 year old single pot still Irish whiskey, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is not simply a finished whiskey: it spent the full 12 years maturing in three types of oak cask. These are American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Spanish Malaga casks.
The Malaga casks are the unusual part, and they bring an exotic sweet note to the whiskey.
