Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is a triple-distilled single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, made from malted and unmalted barley. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is matured in three types of cask: American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry butts and Malaga wine casks. The Malaga casks are used for the full twelve years rather than as a short finish. The nose combines mown hay, cracked black pepper, nutmeg and green tea with honey and ripe peaches. The palate is warm and honeyed, with pot still spice, coffee, milk chocolate and crème brûlée. The finish is long, with red grape and dry barley.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
