Yellowstone Toasted is a four-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley.
It is finished with five kinds of toasted oak stave: High Toast, American Oak Double Toast, High Vanilla, Rickhouse and Spicerack. The blend follows the toasted barrel experiments Stephen Beam ran in the Yellowstone Limited Edition releases of 2016, 2017 and 2018.
The nose offers toasted caramel, vanilla, baking spices and orange peel. On the palate come toffee, walnut, buttered popcorn, green apple and black tea, with white pepper. The finish is medium-long, with cocoa, tobacco and toasted oak.
