An aged rum from Zapatera in Nicaragua, made from sugar cane from the Zapatera region. After distillation it rests for over two decades in oak casks. The nose brings caramel, vanilla, toasted wood, ripe tropical fruit and sweet spices. The palate is soft and rich, balancing honey and caramel sweetness with black pepper and nutmeg. The finish is long and persistent, with dark chocolate and coffee. Best enjoyed neat.
