Zond5 Agave Power for Mixing 100% Espadin (70cl, 45%)

Zond5 is an agave spirit made from 100% Espadin agave, bottled at 45% vol. in a 70cl bottle. Its smoky character sits close to that of a mezcal. It is produced at San Dionisio Ocotepec in Oaxaca, Mexico, where the Espadin is grown on site. The agave hearts (piñas) are baked with the leaves in underground stone ovens, which gives the familiar smokiness. After natural fermentation in open vats, the spirit is distilled in traditional pot stills. Mineral notes, citrus and a little smoke come through. It is soft enough to drink neat and works well in a Paloma.
