This is a Glenfarclas 25 Year Old single malt from the 1970s, bottled at 40% abv. The 25 Years is one of the oldest bottlings in the Glenfarclas standard range.
Sherry and oak both show in this malt, with plenty of dryness and oak, and neither dominating the other.
The nose brings marmalade, honey, freshly ground coffee, sherry and nuts, with oaky tannins. The palate is full-bodied and robust, and the finish is intense, long-lasting, dry and malty.
