291 Colorado Rye Whiskey Small Batch is a rye from 291 Colorado Whiskey, in a 750ml bottle at 50.8% ABV.
It is made from rye malt as a sour mash and distilled in a copper pot still. The whiskey is aged in deep charred American white oak barrels and finished with toasted aspen staves, which give it what the makers call a distinct Colorado character.
The tasting notes describe a bold whiskey with baking spices, chocolate, smoke, leather and oak.
