2XO Gem of Kentucky is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). It comes from the 2XO range, where the Two Times Oak method matures the bourbon and then re-barrels it. This release was made under the blending direction of Dixon Dedman.
The nose brings caramelised sugar, toasted oak, dark cherry, vanilla bean and baking spice, with hints of leather and cocoa. The palate is full-bodied, with butterscotch, charred oak, cinnamon, dark fruit and maple syrup. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, caramel, toasted nuts and dark chocolate.
