This is an 18 year old single malt from Orkney, released by independent bottler A.D. Rattray as a limited edition. It takes its inspiration from the Dancing Giants of Brodgar, the Neolithic standing stones between two lochs, and the folklore that the giants were turned to stone by the first light of dawn.
The colour is olive gold. The nose is soft, with green apple, nutmeg, wood spice, sea salt and a hazy smoke. On the palate come toffee, peach and apricot in a velvety texture, with sweet background smoke, and the finish is dry and nutty.
