This is a single malt Scotch whisky from Glenrothes in Speyside, bottled by A.D. Rattray in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single hogshead filled in 1997, in the same month as the premiere of the film Titanic.
Glenrothes is a distillery known for vintages rather than age statements, and this cask is a 1997 vintage. The whisky is a polished copper colour.
The nose offers orange peel, candlewax, dried coconut and leather. On the palate come barley sugar, pink grapefruit and crystallised pineapple. The finish moves from vanilla fudge to red grape and dark chocolate.
