Aberargie Barley Expressions Golden Promise is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48.2%. It comes from a series by Aberargie Distillery, part of Morrison Distillers, that explores how a particular barley variety shapes the spirit.
This expression is made entirely from Golden Promise, a traditional heritage barley. It was matured in 68% first-fill bourbon barrels and 32% first-fill sherry butts.
The nose is malty, with warm brioche, fresh apple pie, brown sugar and Christmas spices. The palate is round and creamy, with a long, warming finish.
