The first bottling from Aberargie, the Morrison family's distillery, bottled at 48.2% ABV. The barley comes from the family's own 120-hectare farm, 52% Golden Promise and 48% Laureate.
The spirit matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Baked apple, golden pastry, peach, sultanas and spice mark the nose. The palate is spicy, creamy to waxy, with dark red fruit, plums, dark chocolate and oak spice. The finish is long, with herbs and orchard fruit.
