A single cask Aberfeldy from the Highlands, aged for 10 years and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 60.33, named Malt Loaf and Vanilla Frosting. It is bottled at 61% ABV.
The nose is full of cakes, from Dundee to the Caribbean, with ginger and cherries alongside malt loaf and vanilla frosting, plus citrus and panettone. The palate offers sticky butterscotch pudding spiked with rum punch, honey-glazed black grapes and crushed hazelnuts. With water, the nose gains tinned pineapple, oak shavings and aromatic bitters, while the palate keeps its malt loaf character and takes on more honey.
