Aberfeldy – 12 Year Old Gold Bar Edition (70cl, 40%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The bottle is low and rounded, and the edition is styled to resemble a gold bar. Aberfeldy's malt goes mainly into the Dewar's blends, so an official distillery bottling is the less common way to meet it. Twelve years in oak give a round, balanced whisky with no smokiness, in a fruity Highland style. The nose is spicy and fruity. On the palate there is more fruit, with vanilla and sweetness, and the finish is sweet.
