This is a 16-year-old single malt from Aberfeldy, the Perthshire distillery in the foothills of the Central Highlands. After 16 years in oak, it was finished in first fill Oloroso sherry casks, which add a subtle fruitiness and a roundness to the whisky.
Aberfeldy is known as the Golden Dram, partly for the Pitilie Burn that supplies its water. The house character is honey, spices, citrus and hints of vanilla.
