This is Aberfeldy 18 Year Old, a Highlands single malt Scotch whisky finished in Bolgheri Tuscan red wine casks, in a 750ml bottle.
It is the 2022 release. The red wine casks bring robust dark fruit and a firm oak finish, and deepen the honeyed richness of the malt.
Tasting notes mention cherry frangipane and vanilla spice, freshened with sliced green pepper and lime, ending in soft oak.
