This is a 16 year old Highlands single malt from Aberfeldy, in a 750ml bottle. It was matured in first-fill, re-fill and re-char bourbon casks, then finished for six months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks.
The sherry finish gives it a rich, mouth-coating finish alongside honey, fruitcake and dark chocolate.
On the nose there is honey, citrus and clove. The palate is sherried, with fruitcake and rich dark chocolate, leading to a soothing, mouth-coating finish.
