Aberfeldy – 12 Year Old Gold Bar Edition (70cl, 40%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Aberfeldy, in a limited Gold Bar Edition. It is bottled at 40% vol. in a 70cl bottle. The distillery draws its water from the Pitilie Burn, known for its purity and natural traces of gold. Distillation takes place in hand-made copper stills, and fermentation runs for 70 hours, which is credited with the honey character. The colour is dark gold. The nose brings sweet honey, heather, citrus and cereal. The palate is very soft and sweet, with intense honey and fresh fruit. The finish is mild, long and fruity-sweet.
