Aberfeldy – 18 Year Old Bolgheri Tuscan Cask Finish (70cl)

Aberfeldy 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, this 2022 edition finished in Bolgheri Tuscan red wine casks. It comes from Aberfeldy's Master Blender and Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod, who has a keen interest in wine and set out to explore how different red wine casks affect whisky flavour. The maturation is checked repeatedly so that the malt is not overwhelmed by red wine character. The casks are said to add robust, dark fruit flavours and an intense oak finish to an already fruity malt.
