An 18 year old single malt from Aberfeldy, the 2023 release in the distillery's red wine cask series. It is a limited edition in a 70cl bottle.
After 18 years of ageing, the whisky was finished in Sangiovese wine casks.
The nose offers dark fruits, ripe plums and a hint of oak. The palate brings honey, blackberries and a touch of red wine sweetness, with dark chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long, with a delicate tannin influence from the wine casks.
