Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Argentinian Malbec Wine Cask Finish is a limited-edition Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 14 November 2001 and matured in re-fill barrels and hogsheads.
It then spent around eight months in Malbec French oak casks from the Finca Ambrosia Single Estate winery in Argentina.
The nose runs from toasted cereal to strawberry, honey, blackcurrant, rose and violet, with cinnamon, sage and rosemary. The palate brings blackberry, plum and black cherry alongside cocoa, leather, sweet tobacco and vanilla, and the finish is very smooth and extended.
