Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured is a single malt aged for 12 years in two kinds of cask: ex-sherry and ex-bourbon. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is amber in colour. The nose is very fruity, with sweet honey, roasted nuts, vanilla and woody notes. On the palate there is more fruit alongside sherry notes, dark chocolate, sweet caramel, cinnamon and a fine spiciness. The finish is long and slightly spicy.
