Aberlour Casg Annamh is a Speyside single malt Scotch bottled at 48% in a 700ml bottle. The name is Gaelic for rare cask.
It is matured in a combination of American oak and European sherry casks, which give it both sweetness and spice, with a clear sherry influence.
Tasting notes describe sweet sherry, dried fruit, orange zest and cinnamon on the nose. The palate brings rich caramel, raisins, chocolate and spice with toasted oak, and the finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness, spice and oak.
