A 9-year-old Speyside single malt from Aberlour, distilled in 1985 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as single cask 54.3. It is bottled at 59.1% in a 70cl bottle, and 289 bottles were produced.
The Society's aim is to bottle at natural cask strength, without added water. Aberlour itself is a medium-weight single malt, with malt, fruit and a distinctive blackcurrant note in its character.
