A grappa from Giovanni Poli, aged for 36 months in oak barriques. It has a rich, enveloping nose of vanilla, cocoa, sweet spice and toasted almond. On the palate it is soft but structured, with an equilibrium between alcohol and aroma, and notes of dried fruit and sweet spice leading to a long, persistent finish with bitter chocolate and coffee. It is suited to the end of a meal, with dark chocolate or blue cheeses.
