Adelphi Maclean's Nose Blended Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Maclean's Nose is a blended whisky from Adelphi, named after the headland on the Ardnamurchan peninsula. It combines West Highland malt, Campbeltown malt and Lowland grain whisky, and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The vatting uses 40 ex-bourbon casks and 16 ex-sherry hogsheads of West Highland malt distilled in 2018, 5 ex-bourbon casks of Campbeltown malt distilled in 2016, and 21 ex-bourbon hogsheads of Lowland grain whisky distilled in 2017. 25,000 bottles were released. The nose has yeast, white bread dough, pepper and pear skin, with salted caramel and marzipan emerging. The palate brings dark chocolate, dates and melon alongside orange and lemon, and the finish is creamy with vanilla and sea salt.
