Adelphi Private Stock Reserve Peated (70cl, 46%)

A peated blended Scotch whisky from Adelphi, bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added colour, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is earthy and aromatic, with tractor oil, mossy earth and wet leaves alongside grapefruit peel, bergamot and wildflowers. The palate opens light and delicate, then deepens through layers of peat, with salty tears, soft buttercream, flamed orange peel and aniseed. There is smoked fish on rye bread, toasted pumpernickel with taramasalata, pan juices and burnt popcorn kernels. The finish is rich, oily, full-bodied and long.
