This is a 16 year old Teaninich from the Highlands, bottled by Adelphi from a single refill sherry cask, number 716125. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 at 56.4%. The cask produced 207 bottles, and this one is 70cl.
Candied fruit and warm spices sit alongside a soft, silky texture. The nose has spiced orange, bread and butter pudding, rum-soaked raisins, star anise and a touch of lacquered wood. On the palate come Grand Marnier, orange liqueur, sour cherry, pumpernickel and dried fruit, with a balanced spicy warmth. The finish is medium to long, with layered spice, woody richness and a light dryness.
