Ærø – Single Malt Whisky (50cl, 48%)

Ærø Single Malt Whisky comes from the small distillery in Ærøskøbing, the only one on the island of Ærø. It is made from unpeated malted barley grown entirely on Ærø and matured for at least three years in Spanish sherry casks. It is bottled at 48% ABV in a 50cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colouring, and no more than 1,000 bottles of this release are filled each year. The colour is deep amber. The nose has honey, vanilla and a hint of prune. The palate has a youthful crispness, with apple, honey, oak and floral notes.
