Alexander James is a four-year-old straight bourbon, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled at Two Eagles Distillery in Mount Prospect, Illinois, and matured in charred American white oak barrels.
The brand was founded in 2021 by Jesse Steward Jr. and takes its name from his son. It draws on the story of his two grandfathers, lifelong best friends who shared family history over a glass of bourbon.
The nose is warm vanilla and caramel with toasted oak. The palate is soft, with brown sugar, light baking spice and building oak. The finish is medium and warm, with oak and mild caramel.
