A Kentucky rye whiskey from Amador Whiskey Co., bottled at 92 proof as a small batch with a mash bill of 74% rye.
It is aged twice. The first three years are spent in new charred American oak barrels, then the whiskey spends 9 to 12 months in Terra d'Oro Port barrels from Amador County, which give it a red hue.
The tasting notes describe baking spices, ripe blackberry and chocolate, with the classic rye bite balanced by gingerbread, buttery cookie dough and toffee. Vanilla and honey round out a full-bodied, velvety finish.
