AMAHAGAN Madoromi Barmaid (Sleepy Barmaid) Shannon Hu is a blended whisky from Nagahama Distillery in Shiga, Japan, bottled at 47% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Released on 26 March 2024, it is the fourth product in the collaboration with the manga Madoromi Barmaid. Shannon Hu is the younger sister of Ashley in the story, and the label was drawn by Pao Hayakawa. It was blended to suit an Old Fashioned. Calm, floral sherry cask whisky is joined by two types of grain whisky that add a strong, bourbon-like wood character. The nose is clove, nutmeg, caramel sauce and ripe orange. The palate brings white peach compote and tropical fruit, then oak and spice, and the finish is dry and full-bodied.
