Amahagan No. 2 Red Wine Wood Finish Japanese Whisky (70cl)

Amahagan No. 2 is a Japanese blended whisky from Nagahama, one of Japan's newest and smallest distilleries, in a 70cl bottle. It was given a finishing period in a red wine cask and is based on Edition No. 1. The whisky has a glossy, reddish brick colour. Raisins and berries from the red wine sit alongside the malty character of Nagahama. On the palate the sweetness of grain spreads through, tightened by a moderate astringency. The finish is long, with orange peel, grain sweetness and a touch of astringency.
