Amahagan World Malt Edition No. 3 Mizunara Wood Finish (47%)

Amahagan World Malt Edition No. 3 is a blended Japanese whisky from the Nagahama distillery, bottled at 47%. It is the third release in the World Malts series, which blends the distillery's own spirit with malt whiskies from other countries. This edition was finished in Mizunara casks, made from the Japanese oak Quercus crispula, to emphasise the influence of different cask types during maturation. Nagahama was founded in 2016. It is described as rich and complex, with citrus fruit such as orange, dark chocolate and oriental sugar, and the spiciness typical of whisky matured in Mizunara.
