American Highway Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 48%)

American Highway Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon created by Brad Paisley with Bardstown Bourbon Company, bottled at 96 proof in a 75cl bottle. The first batch blends four Kentucky bourbons. Ninety barrels of it were loaded onto a semi-truck, a travelling rickhouse, to age on the road across America. The rocking of the truck and the swings in climate are meant to draw out the sugars in the wood and add deeper oak flavour. The aroma is sweet and spicy, with caramel, cinnamon and plenty of oak. Apricot, cinnamon, dark chocolate and leather show on the palate, and the finish is long and warm.
