Ammunition Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Cabernet Sauvignon Barrels (75cl, 45%)

This is a straight bourbon whiskey bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle, made from a blend of 2, 3 and 4 year old bourbons. The mash bill is 60% corn, 25% wheat, 10% rye and 5% malted barley. The blend is finished for at least three months in wine barrels that previously held several vintages of Ammunition Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon. That finish adds sweetness and tannin, and a dark amber colour. Tasting notes describe caramel and butterscotch, followed by a finish of vanilla with a hint of richness from the Cabernet Sauvignon French oak.
