An Cnoc 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in Spanish oak ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured, so a light haze may appear when water is added or the whisky is chilled. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
It pours a bronzed amber. The nose has gentle spices, dried fruit, chocolate, ripe oranges and oiled leather. On the palate, aromatic spices, fruit loaf and candied lemon give way to vanilla, honey and caramel. The finish moves from peppery warmth to a lingering sweetness.
