Andersen Winery Sur Lie (11.5%)

Sur Lie is a sparkling apple wine made from Danish Belle de Boskoop apples, at 11.5% vol. After fermentation in stainless steel tank finishes, the lees stay in the tank and the now inactive yeast is stirred for several months, which adds complexity and flavour. It is made by the traditional method, then matured and disgorged after at least six months in bottle. It suits an aperitif, and goes with fish, shellfish and cheese.
