A single cask Ardbeg from Islay, distilled in August 2015 and drawn from cask 5619 in March 2023 after seven years of maturation.
The whisky spent its whole life in a second-fill Côte-Rôtie wine cask. Côte-Rôtie is in the northern Rhône, home of Syrah, a grape known for deep, silky, dark fruit and a peppery character.
Just 289 bottles were released, at a strength of 60.4% ABV.
