Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an Islay single malt bottled at 57.1% ABV. It takes its name from the Corryvreckan whirlpool off the west coast of Scotland, one of the largest in the world.
Its maturation includes new French oak casks, which bring a deep tannic structure and a spiced, woody note that is uncommon in Scotch whisky.
The whisky is peated and described as powerful and maritime in character. It can be taken neat or with a few drops of water.
