Ardbeg Trudernish 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 48.8% (97.6 proof) and non-chill filtered. It is named after the historic settlement of Trudernish on Islay's Enchanted Cape and joins the permanent Ardbeg range.
It was matured in a combination of bourbon barrels, new charred oak and Oloroso sherry casks, and keeps the peat smoke of Ardbeg in a softer, creamier form.
The nose is earthy peat and gentle woodsmoke with vanilla cream and caramel fudge. The palate is silky, with pine, damp forest floor, black liquorice, chocolate-covered lime, mint and orchard fruit. The finish is long, with peat embers, vanilla bean and toasted nuts.
