Ardbeg Wee Beastie is a 5 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 47.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was created to be the rawest, smokiest Ardbeg yet, and it is the youngest Ardbeg the distillery has made. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose combines cracked black pepper, sappy pine resin and a sharp tang of smoke. On the palate there is chocolate, creosote and tar, with savoury meat notes. The finish is long, salty and mouth-coating.
