This is a 21 year old Ardmore single malt from Douglas Laing's Old Particular series, distilled in November 1999 and bottled in June 2021. It matured in a refill hogshead, and 297 bottles were filled at 51.5% in 70cl bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is aromatic, round and full-bodied, with subtle smoke and gently peated barley. The palate is rich and mouth-coating, peppery, with phenolic grain amid crushed sugar. The finish is long, with sweet peat and a pinch of oak.
